You are not allowed to know what he is going to lift...

"Chiel, I would like a VHU-3000-DER with a double vacuum circuit and remote controlled". Gert (den Hartog Bouwmaterie) comes to us with this question. But what does he want to lift Gert? What kind of suction cups do you need? "Well, Chiel, he does not want to say that. He is working on a special project and does not want to reveal what he wants to lift. TOP SECRET! shall we say". But we cannot give good advice if we do not know what needs to be lifted. Does he use a single suction plate, does he want a Traverse? "Do not worry Chiel, he stays under 3 tons, and he arranges everything that comes under the unit himself. He wants a diesel and a double vacuum circuit, which is it, he takes care of the rest himself".

2 Suction plates that can be operated independently.

It takes some effort, but eventually we are told that there will be 2 suction plates underneath that must be able to release and attach independently, and this also by means of our radiographic remote control. This indeed means a double vacuum circuit. Chiel and Mustafa go behind the drawing board to see if this can be realized within the existing frame of a VHU-3000-DER.

Everything x 2

We get 2 suction plates that can be controlled independently from a distance, this means everything x 2. We start with suction plate A and suction plate B, and both get their own facilities. At the front and the side, a double lamp set with A and B. Of course, the remote control will be there, but we will also install 2 manual release valves in case the remote control unexpectedly stops working. A double circuit also means double filtering. It has cost Mustafa headaches, but he gets it neatly within the frame.

Remote control

If we mount a Traverse, it is quite common for each suction plate to have its "own" release valve so that you can indeed have the suction plates attach or release independently of each other. This is manual and in the same circuit. Now there is a double circuit + a desired radiographic remote control. Due to safety obligations, a "normal" remote control already has 3 buttons: 1 for attaching and 2 for release. Always 2 before unloading so that you cannot accidentally press the release button with all the consequences that entails. Now we have suction plate A and suction plate B, 2 suction plates to be operated independently. You understand it; 6 buttons.

PRIDE!

This is a project that is not a daily occurrence for us, and we are rightly proud of the result. To reinforce this, we have a short episode of HamevacTV recorded that is specifically about this special and yet also for us TOP SECRET! project. Even though the vacuum unit has now been delivered, we have not seen what is underneath, and we still have no idea what it will lift. If we find out, we will be sure to let you know. Until then we must make do with the short video...

As we are a Dutch company, a lot of the videos will be in the Dutch language. Luckily YouTube grants the possibility to use translated subtitles (click the settings icon and choose the language of your choice)
